Why we narrowed what we do

We used to offer almost everything — handyman work, decking, excavation, gardening, pressure cleaning, even commercial cleaning. It paid the bills and it made us a generalist.

Now it is renovation only: bathrooms, kitchens, wall removals, heritage homes and whole-house projects. The trade breadth we built up along the way did not go anywhere — it is why we self-perform carpentry, tiling, waterproofing and plastering instead of subcontracting every part of your job to someone we met last month.

Why we publish prices

Because the normal process is a waste of everyone's time. You submit your details, wait for a call back, book a visit, wait again, and finally discover the project is double what you had in mind. Three builders deep, that is weeks gone to learn a number that could have been published on a website.

Publishing means the people who call us already know roughly what things cost and have decided to go ahead anyway. It also means we cannot quietly charge two people different prices for the same work, which is a discipline worth having.

Who does the work

Carpentry, tiling, waterproofing, plastering and general building are done by our own crew. Plumbing and electrical are done by licensed trades we have worked with for years — legally they must be licensed for that work, and you receive their compliance certificates at completion.

One named contact runs your job from quote through to the defects walkthrough. Not a rotating cast, and not a project manager who cannot tell you who is on site tomorrow.

Where we work

Based in Glen Waverley, working through Blackburn South, Burwood East, Donvale, Glen Iris, Glen Waverley, Moonee Ponds, Moorabbin, Mount Waverley and Wheelers Hill. We take heritage work further afield, including inner-north and inner-west terraces, because there are fewer builders doing period restoration properly.
